Exercise!

If you read my philosophy on food, then you know that I am training to compete in a figure competition in 2013! Some might be surprised to find that the real magic to this does not happen at the gym, but in the kitchen. Have you ever heard the saying, "Abs are made in the kitchen"? Well, it's right in the money!
That doesn't mean that I don't also train to sculpt the body I want, working out is my favorite part of the day!

I like seasonal outdoor recreation such as snowshoeing, ice skating, running (sometimes), hiking and road biking. It's really fun to get outdoors, breath fresh air and see new places, but my niche is really in the gym. I know this is strange for some people, but I love lifting weights, feeling strong and pushing myself to my limits. It's invigorating!

I'm in the gym 6 days a week lifting weights and 4 of those days also doing cardio (which is done outside of the gym sometimes). My workouts from start to finish are always 1.5 hours or less, that may seem like a lot, but currently I have the extra time to spend and it doesn't bother me!

As I mentioned in my first post, I am training with Jamie Eason's 12 week trainer from BodyBuilding.com and am really loving the results from it. She breaks down the different days with what part of your body you'll be working and gives an overview of an ideal nutrition plan. Thanks to Jamie's plan, I'm finally starting to see some arm muscles!
